Inspiring Science is Dr Anne Buckley and Mrs Kim Harvey. We are experienced teachers who have taught primary science to over 20,000 children of all abilities in KS1 and KS2. We are passionate about encouraging children to be curious, hands-on scientists.
We currently teach science to pupils in Year 1 to Year 6 at Holy Spirit Catholic and CofE Primary School in Leasowe, Wirral and work with STEM Learning Ltd as primary science consultants providing CPD courses. We also work independently in the north west and north midlands delivering primary science workshops to pupils, whole staff CPD courses and science leader support.
We have just started (January 2020) delivering a new primary science leader network for the Oak Trees MAT on Wirral.
In the school year 2016-17 we had a contract with Urenco Capenhurst to provide some STEM workshops to Year 6 classes.

Mrs Kim Harvey
I have a degree in Primary Education and have worked in the primary school context for over thirteen years. From 2012-2015 I worked at the Discovery City Learning Centre Wirral initially as a teacher and then as a Teaching Consultant. I developed and delivered a wide range of KS1&2 science, IT and teambuilding workshops and have used my expertise and experience to provide engaging learning experiences that are accessible to all children.
Anne and I have developed CPD training for teachers that we are very proud of as they are considered to be of great benefit because they address current changes and initiatives in the curriculum. I have also worked in FE training teaching assistants and as a tutor for the childcare and education qualification. |
