This is a perfect workshop for your transition weeks in June and July or provides excellent team building for a new Year 6 in September.
- Exciting cross-curricular whole day workshop for Year 6.
- Pupils analyse and discuss geographical and scientific data to decide on the location of a new wind farm.
- They will calculate the cost of locating their wind farm taking into account environmental factors and transport costs.
- The pupils then build a KNEX wind turbine and investigate how to generate the most electricity from it.
- The team then puts together a presentation to a committee of experts who decide which is the most suitable project.

- Each pupil has a specific job in the team but all pupils are involved in all the activities.
